Women's Nine Hole Golf Association (WNHGA)
A statewide Women's golf group organized in 1973 to promote the interests of women's nine-hole golf and provide a governing body to maintain standards for all WNHGA groups.
Membership is open to nine-hole golf groups from private and semi-private clubs.
WNHGA currently serves 39 clubs in Northern California and includes 4 areas (Central Valley, East Bay, Peninsula and River Valley). The 4C Niners are part of the East Bay area.
WNHGA sponsors several tournaments each year. Open Days, Team Play, Tournament of Champions (TOC) and Corena Green Junior Golf.
Open Day tournaments are played as a fun 9-hole round of golf at a sister club with prizes.
Team Play tournaments are played as a 9-hole round of golf with 3 flights of team representatives from each club. Teams play against competing clubs in the WNHGA division areas.
Each WNHGA club conducts a Tournament of Champions for the club. The first-place champions for each flight from each club participates in the WNHGA TOC, in October.
WNHGA sponsors an annual tournament to promote young girls golf participation. The tournament includes junior girl golfers from WNHGA member clubs. The tournament awards prizes and scholarships for college to the Corena Green winners.
